Food Program

We feel it is important that our growing children have healthy diets. We participate in the Missouri Department of Health Child Care Food Program (CCFP).

That is why our meals and snacks are planned to meet the child’s nutritional requirements as recommended by the Missouri Department of Health.  Our meals are served family style and as the children develop they are encouraged to serve, feed themselves, and assist with cleaning as part of the learning experience.

Weekly menus are posted on our hallway bulletin board.

Our teachers support positive eating habits by successfully introducing new foods and encouraging good eating habits.

Our breakfast, consisting of fresh fruit, cereal, and milk is served at 9:00 a.m.

A well-balanced, nutritious lunch, which meets the Missouri Department of Health standards, is prepared by our cook and served at 12:00 p.m.

An afternoon snack of 100% juice and crackers is served at 3:00 p.m.
